The three reasons people call about a safe are always the same: the combination has been forgotten, the safe has locked itself out, or one has been inherited and nobody has the key. In all of them ownership has to be established first, and in many of them the safe can be opened without destroying it.

What can change the price
The price above is what gets charged. These are the only reasons it could change, and you are always told before anything starts:
- Make, model and grade of the safe
- Whether it can be opened by manipulation or has to be drilled
- Whether the lock then needs repairing or replacing
- Whether it is an opening or an anchored installation

Frequently asked questions
What documents do you need?
You have to establish ownership of the safe or of the property it sits in: title deeds, a purchase contract, the invoice for the safe or probate paperwork, together with your ID or passport. Without that it does not get opened, no exceptions.
Can it be opened without wrecking it?
On many models yes, by manipulation. On high-end safes it sometimes has to be drilled at a specific point and then repaired. You are told beforehand which case yours is.
It is only the battery
That is the most common call and the cheapest. On many keypads it can be powered externally and opens straight away. Mention it when you call and save yourself a fright.
