Roller shutters
A jammed roller shutter comes in two very different versions. If it is the morning and it will not go up, you lose the trading day. If it is night and it will not come down, the premises are left open. The second one is a genuine emergency, and it gets treated as one.

If it can be left working there and then, it is. If a part is needed, you are told what and when.

The price above is what gets charged. These are the only reasons it could change, and you are always told before anything starts:
- Whether it is an emergency with the premises open, or a booked repair
- Manual or motorised shutter
- What has failed: runners, spring, motor or lock
- Size of the shutter

Frequently asked questions
It will not close and I have to leave. What do I do?
Call: leaving premises open all night is not an option. In many cases it can be secured temporarily and the repair finished the next day with the right part.
Do you repair motorised shutters?
The mechanical side and the lock, yes. If the fault is the motor or the control board, we weigh up repair against replacement and I tell you straight.
Can it be done outside trading hours?
Yes, and it is usually the sensible choice: it is done with the shop closed and you lose no sales.
